Since August 2007, Ambit has provided database infrastructure support requirements covering database administration, installation, and consulting services. These support the database products currently in place in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Information Technology Center and those which may be obtained at its headquarters in Washington, DC and/or location in Gettysburg, PA. Ambit also provides support for development and implementation of FCC custom systems, including the multi-billion dollar Integrated Spectrum Auction System and associated licensing systems, which are deployed in "client-server" and web-based environments on a variety of Unix-dedicated database servers including, but not limited to, Sun configurations.
Support includes full life-cycle system administration plus the appropriate written documentation in support of establishing basic standards for the organization of all database servers and for those systems installed on the FCC database servers. Documentation follows appropriate ITIL and CMMI Level 3 standards.
Ambit also provides complete disaster recovery and backup support and execution. Ambit personnel provide key support in the performance of COOP evaluations, configurations, scripting, and other services necessary to establish and maintain appropriate disaster and backup recovery plans.
