Ambit Group logs tremendous September, wins award

for growth

Reston, VA – October 15, 2007 – Ambit Group, LLC (Ambit) keeps growing…and growing. In September, Ambit earned its place among the ranks in Washington Technology’s “Fast 50” as the 10th fastest growing small business in the Government IT market. A Woman-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Ambit followed this formal recognition of growth with a little more actual growth: the management consulting firm closed more than $2.8M in new business and exercised options on existing contracts during the month of September.

“Our growth has been driven by Ambit’s commitment to deliver the highest quality services to our Federal Government clients. We are partners in success—both ours and theirs,” said Kim Shackleford, President of Ambit. “We are honored to be recognized as one of the Fast 50 and, as an SDVOSB, delighted to know that there is so much potential for small firms in this arena.”

In August, Ambit was awarded a $21M contract in support of the FCC Auctions Database that essentially doubled the company’s workforce. Ambit’s end-of-fiscal year flurry only enhanced the buzz of this substantial win with contracts that include work to be done in support of the following agencies:

Department of Treasury, Financial Management Service Center (FMS) valued at $199,000 focusing on Customer Relationship Management (CRM);

Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection valued at $528,032 base year with four one year options in support of the Acquisition Improvement Initiative (AI2) Office, focusing on Acquisition and Strategic Sourcing;

Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Clinician Recruitment and Service (BCRS) valued at $208,010 focusing on Gap Analysis, OMB 300 and Feasibility Study;

Veterans Health Administration, Chief Business Office (CBO) valued at $437,897 base year with four 1-year options, focusing on the development and support of a Communications PMO;

US Coast Guard to provide support through the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Training and Management Assistance (TMA) Program for developing the requirements for a Coast Guard Leaning Management System, valued at $143,000; and

Exercises of option years and/or additional funding for existing contracts at the Small Business Administration, USDA, OSD OCIO, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and FCC.

In addition to this on-rush of new business, Ambit also recently established itself as a certified reseller of Orchestria products through its GSA IT Schedule 70. John Condon, co-founder of the Ambit Group, shares Shackleford’s excitement in light of all the success.

“This is a proud moment for Ambit,” says Condon. “It’s always rewarding to see our team’s hard work recognized by the industry that we serve. It’s a purposeful reminder of our dedication to the Government.”
