Ambit can now bid through GSA IT Schedule 70
Reston, VA – January 30, 2007 – Despite its size, Ambit Group, LLC (Ambit) is already well-positioned to deliver high-quality business solutions to the Federal Government through a wide array of contract vehicles. Now, the Reston-based Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) can bid on Federal IT work that flows through the GSA IT Schedule 70 as well.
Donna Freedman is Ambit’s Managing Director for Acquisition Services. She, for one, is very excited about the capability and exclusive market awareness that placement on the schedule will provide for Ambit.
“This is a big step for Ambit,” Freedman said. “As a small company, it’s important to have options and now we’ll be able to leverage both MOBIS and the IT Schedule 70 to really move forward.”
As stated on the General Services Administration Website, IT Schedule 70 “was established by GSA to provide government agencies with solutions for their various information technology requirements and allow those agencies to procure the products and services they need.” IT Schedule 70 is a multiple award schedule that “grants agencies direct access to the commercial experts who can thoroughly address the needs of the government IT community through twelve Special Item Numbers (SINs).”
Ambit’s CEO, John Condon, is pleased about the opportunities that the IT Schedule 70 will afford.
“For Ambit, this opens up a whole new avenue for procurements that we could not previously pursue,” said Condon. “This added flexibility is especially advantageous for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and we are very excited about the expanded possibilities this provides.”
