Communication and Marketing

Customer Need

Communications and marketing support is core component of any successful technology, business or organizational transition effort, as the ultimate purpose of communication and marketing support is to encourage, eliminate, modify or mitigate specific target audience behaviors. If target audiences understand the benefits of transition effort, why it is happening, how it will impact them, where to get more information and how they can provide meaningful feedback, then the transition effort will have a better rate of acceptance.

Small Business Administration, Office of Entrepreneurial Development

In 2008, Ambit supported the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Entrepreneurial Development in their effort to respond the President Bush's 2008 initiative to bolster the economic growth of inner-city companies. The SBA challenged Ambit with the creation of a fully functional brand launch called "Emerging 200" (or "E200") that focused on 11 cities across the nation. The vision of the campaign was to encourage inner city entrepreneurs to self-nominate their companies to participate in this "street-wise MBA program." In turn, these entrepreneurs will be offered an advanced curriculum that focuses on stimulating and supporting the overall expansion of their businesses.

Ambit provided expertise in marketing and brand creation. Ambit created a comprehensive marketing and outreach roadmap designed to identify and target the specific niche of small business owners to which the campaign was tailored. Within that plan, Ambit was responsible for the logo design and creation of press releases, elevators speeches, posters, flyers, banners, Website design, bumper stickers, podium signs, brochures, and stickers. In the second phase of the campaign, Ambit assisted SBA with a detailed assessment of measured success of the campaign in relation to the goals of the Administrator.
