To provide great customer service to consumer, private sector and public sector audiences for its broadband mapping, spectrum auctions, and its many other public services, The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires IT support to upgrade and manage its back-end database administration, system administration and overall business analysis of its IT operations.
Ambit Group supports the FCC's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) through administration and configuring the back-end databases for the Commission. We support multiple database management systems including Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL", and provide support for the full systems development lifecycle – installation, configuration, updates, tuning, back-up and continuity of operations (COOP).
Augmenting this support, Ambit provides business analysis services and general IT analysis support to the FCC's Office of the Managing Director. We provide requirements gathering, verification, validation and testing for new software and systems and act as the interface between the developers and the business users. We develop and provide user training, both computer and classroom-based.
Through our software-agnostic support, Ambit is able to help FCC select and maintain the most advantageous and cost effective options for managing its databases, which currently process approximately 8 terabytes of information. We conduct ongoing analysis of IT and business needs and go the distance to help identify opportunities for the FCC to save money, resolve problems and provide better services to FCC's customers.
