Careers at Ambit: Project Planning Specialist
Individual will be responsible for the development, update and maintenance of a Work Breakdown Structure for multiple individual enhancement elements within a large VA software development project. Participation within implementation planning meetings and conferences as needed.
Minimum/General Experience
3 years experience in a high technology project development environment, directly using MS Project software as a key management tool for progress planning and tracking.
Must Have Skills
Strong fluency in the use of Microsoft Project 2007 software in building large, multi-faceted project plans, specifically Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Implementation planning, including the integration of multiple sub-projects into a master plan roll-up. Understanding and effectively documenting inter-relationships, dependencies, resource ID and allocations, and waterfall milestone requirements within complicated projects. Must possess the ability to think and work independently in accomplishing daily project updates and meeting schedule requirements. Flexibility and adaptability in a diverse, fast-paced and consistently changing environment.
Nice To Have Skills
Ability to work seamlessly and proactively within a large, distributed project team. Anticipation of developing requirements in advance of needs being defined.
Minimum Education
BS degree or equivalent work experience.
