Senior Research Analyst
Senior research analysts will be responsible for overseeing the execution and analysis of custom survey and other research projects from inception through reporting, with supervision on design and analytics. Includes
- development of research designs from research question specification through sampling, instrument design and administration, data analysis
- drafting and analysis of research reports, complete with recommendations.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have a broader history in the use of quantifiable methods for organizational performance measurement. Experience with developing performance measures with effective data collection approaches for monitoring organizational progress against strategic goals is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage research focused projects through execution process without supervision
Lead Ambit learning about research methods and approaches, including online survey approaches and tools
Solve problems quickly and concisely
Construct, test, administer surveys
Analyze and present results
Work with other teams to develop other types of quantifiable performance metrics in support of organizational transformation efforts.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work independently
Some management experience of and ability to mentor junior staff
Knowledge of a variety of different research methods
Knowledge of all operational components including:
- Research design and methodology development
- Survey instrument design, development, and administration
- Understanding of sampling issues and selection of reasonable samples
- Development of coding structures and other analysis tools
- Strong competency in statistical techniques including multivariate analysis, including use of computer-based analytic tools (SPSS, SAS, etc.)
Strong writing skills; building a story from the data
5 + years in a custom research supplier
